Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and Google's unique identifier for your account. We don't receive your Google password.

Link data. The destination URL, short code, optional custom slug, and expiration date for each link you create.

Click analytics. Each time a short link is followed, we record when it happened, the referring page (if any), the visitor's user agent and IP address, and any UTM parameters on the request. This is shown back to the link's owner as click analytics.

We don't collect payment information — bl8 doesn't charge for anything today.

2. How we use it

We use this information to operate the Service: creating your account, resolving and tracking your short links, showing you analytics for links you own, and keeping the service secure (for example, rate-limiting abusive requests).

3. Cookies

bl8 sets one functional, HttpOnly session cookie when you sign in, used only to keep you signed in. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

4. Sharing

We share account information with Google only as needed to complete Google Sign-In. We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with any other third party.

5. Retention

We keep link and click data for as long as your account and its links exist.

6. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

7. Your choices

You can delete individual links at any time from your account, or permanently delete your entire account — including all of its links and their data — from your account's Profile page.

8. Children's privacy

bl8 isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy at any time. Continuing to use bl8 after a change means you accept the updated policy.
